Chapters Block
Displays all chapters where this character appears. Track character appearances throughout your story and identify POV chapters at a glance. Each chapter is clickable and navigates to the full chapter details.
Create and manage chapters in the Chapters page. For more details, see the Chapters help article. You can add and configure the Chapters section from Settings > Character Sheet Setup.
Note: If you haven't created any chapters yet, this section will be empty. Head to the Chapters page to get started.
POV Indicator
Chapters where this character has a point-of-view (POV) are marked with an eye icon. This makes it easy to see which chapters are told from this character's perspective.
Tip: To mark a character as the point-of-view narrator for a chapter, go to the Chapters page and set it there. POV status helps track narrative perspectives across your story.
Adding Characters to Chapters
To assign a character to chapters, switch to Edit Mode (see View Mode vs Edit Mode):
- 1. Click "Add Character to Chapter" - A search box appears
- 2. Select a chapter - Choose from available chapters in your book, or select "Create New Chapter..." to add one on the spot
- 3. Character is assigned - Selecting a chapter immediately assigns this character to it
- Remove a chapter - Hover over an assigned chapter and click the X button to unassign this character from it. This only removes the character from that chapter — it doesn't delete the chapter or any of your writing. You can always re-add them.
Note: You can also assign characters to chapters from the Chapters page itself.
Manage chapters in Chapters. You can only have one Chapters section per character sheet.
