Penpoint Cloud
Penpoint Cloud keeps an encrypted copy of every book in the cloud. If something happens to your computer, sign in on another one and bring your books back. It's built right into Penpoint, so backing up is automatic.
What Penpoint Cloud Does
- Keeps your books safe: every book and every version, backed up automatically. Lost laptop, dead hard drive: your work is still there.
- Write on more than one computer: Penpoint Sync copies your latest writing between them (that's what "syncing" means), so a book stays the same everywhere you sign in.
- Private encryption: your books stay yours alone. You protect them with a password, and everything is encrypted on your computer before it leaves. Penpoint stores your books but cannot read them, and neither can anyone else. If you forget your password, your Recovery Kit is your backup (a 12-word phrase you save when you set up Cloud; see Your Password and Recovery Kit below).
Two Sizes
Penpoint Cloud comes in two sizes:
- Penpoint Backup ($5/month or $45/year): encrypted cloud backup from one computer at a time, with unlimited version history (go back to any earlier draft of your book).
- Penpoint Sync ($10/month or $96/year): everything in Backup, plus up to 5 computers kept in step automatically, plus the Penpoint phone app.
Penpoint itself is yours forever, one payment, and works completely offline. Penpoint Cloud is optional.
