Trait sections give you lists of options you can pick from for common character details — things like eye color, personality type, or alignment. You can select multiple values at once using checkboxes. For example, you might have an Alignment trait with options like Lawful Good, Chaotic Evil, and True Neutral, or a Community trait for groups within your world like Fire Nation, Water Tribe, and Earth Kingdom.

First, you set up your list of options in Settings > Traits (for example, a list of eye colors). Then you add a Trait section to your character sheet in Settings > Character Sheet Setup and connect it to that list.

You can then use the Glorious Searchbar (the search bar at the top of the screen) or the Character Filter (the filtering options on the Characters page) to find characters who share a specific trait.

How It Works

Create trait definitions in Settings > Traits, then link Trait Blocks to them in Settings > Character Sheet Setup. See Managing Traits for details on creating and organizing trait definitions.

Common Uses

  • Eye/Hair Color: Blue, Green, Brown, etc.
  • Personality Type: Introvert, Extrovert, Ambivert
  • Role: Protagonist, Antagonist, Supporting
  • Alignment: Lawful Good, Chaotic Neutral
  • Species/Race: Human, Elf, Dwarf

Tip: Add multiple Trait Blocks - one for each categorical attribute. Each links to its own trait definition with its own dropdown options.

Configuration

To configure a Trait Block, go to Settings > Character Sheet Setup and click on the trait section to see its options.

  • Select Trait: Choose which trait definition this block links to. If you don't see a trait here, it just means it's already being used in another section
  • Include in Quick Create: When checked, this trait block will appear in the Quick Create menu for faster character setup
