Location Icons
Every location has an icon you can change. It appears in the location list on the left side of the screen, the top of the detail area (the right side of the screen where your location's information appears), and the grid of locations nested inside the current one. Icons provide quick visual identification and make your locations easier to tell apart at a glance.
Changing Icons
Switch to Edit mode (click the pencil button at the top of the detail area), then click the location's icon at the top of the detail area to open the icon picker. The picker shows icons organized into four categories:
- Buildings - Homes, churches, schools, warehouses, monuments, and other structures
- Nature - Trees, mountains, water, weather, and natural phenomena
- Regions - Globes, maps, compasses, flags, and geographic markers
- Infrastructure - Roads, bridges, transportation, and civic facilities
Click any icon to select it. The currently selected icon shows a colored ring highlight. Click Select Icon to apply your choice, or Cancel to keep the current icon.
Tip: Choose icons that match the location's function or type. A city might use a globe or map marker, while a specific building could use a home, church, or warehouse icon.
Default Icons
New locations start with the marked map icon (a map with a pin on it). You can change this at any time — icons are just for looks, and changing them doesn't change how your location works. To go back to the default, pick the marked map icon from the Regions category.
