@Mentions

Anywhere you write on the worldbuilding side (a character's description, a note, chapter details, an arc), type @ and start typing a name. Pick a result and it becomes a live link: bold, underlined, and clickable. You can also right-click and choose Insert @Mention.

Figure 1 - Typing @ opens a search of everything in your book

Characters (aliases count, so typing a nickname finds them too), locations, items, chapters, scenes, notes, and even Story Arc and Character Arc points. Results appear as you type; press Enter or Tab to insert the highlighted one, or Esc to close the list.

Clicking a Mention

Clicking a mention jumps straight to that page. In a series, mentions know their Book: clicking a chapter or arc from another Book switches you to it, and clicking a character who's hidden by the This Book view widens the view so they can be shown (This Book vs All Books).

They Keep Themselves Up to Date

A mention remembers who it points to, not the spelling of their name. Rename a character and every mention of them updates itself, everywhere. If you delete something a mention points to, the link stays in your text and reads "(Deleted)".

Note: In Manuscript Mode, typing @ opens the same search but inserts just the name as plain text. Your prose stays pure words, with no links hiding in it.

Tip: Typing an email address? Press Esc when the list pops up and it stays closed for that word, so you can finish typing in peace.
