Settings Categories

Character Sheet Setup: Build your ideal character page layout by adding, removing, and arranging blocks. Each block displays different information (traits, relationships, items, etc.) and can be customized to your needs.

Traits: Create custom traits like "House Affiliation" for wizarding schools, "Magic System" for fantasy novels, or "Political Alliance" for epic sagas. Define the options for each trait and choose how they display.

Tags: Set up character tags for quick categorization and filtering. Assign colors to tags for visual organization across your character lists.

Item & Location Types: Define categories for both items and locations in your story. Item types range from "Weapons" and "Artifacts" to "Documents" and "Vehicles", while location types let you create categories like "City", "Landmark", "Region", or custom types specific to your world-building needs.

Interface: Choose your preferred theme (light or dark), customize typography, and adjust animation speeds to match your working style.

Import/Export: Export your characters, locations, items, notes, and chapters in multiple formats. Import edited data back into Penpoint, or bring in existing manuscripts from .epub, .docx, .rtf, .md, or .txt files.

Community & Updates: View announcements, manage community stats contributions, and review privacy settings.

Storage & Backups: Configure automatic backups, manage storage locations, and set up secondary backup protection.

Advanced: Troubleshooting tools like hardware acceleration control and support log export for when you need help diagnosing issues.

About Penpoint: Check your current version, view changelog information, and check for software updates.
